On February 5th 2024, Alfardan Properties conducted a successful fire evacuation drill at Burj Alfardan Lusail, in its commitment to safety. This collaborative effort between the Property Management team, Qatar Civil Defense (QCD), and Qatari authorities (MOI/HMC) underscored its unwavering dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of Alfardan Properties’ staff and commercial tenants.
Preparation was key to the success of the drill. In the weeks leading up to the event, training sessions were held for fire wardens designated by tenants, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively coordinate evacuation procedures. The enthusiastic participation of approximately 480 individuals from various floors, including staff from AMNM and Jaguar Land Rover, exemplified the collective commitment to safety.
A simulated fire scenario tested the readiness of the teams, and the response from both staff and tenants was commendable. QCD operation trucks were strategically positioned to simulate firefighting efforts, ensuring that every safety measure was meticulously executed. Additionally, the simulation of two injuries within the tower provided valuable insights into the emergency response capabilities.
The involvement of colleagues from Workinton in enacting the simulated injuries added a heightened sense of realism to the drill, further enhancing its effectiveness. As a result, Alfardan Properties is delighted to report that the team demonstrated exceptional preparedness and efficiency in handling the simulated emergency.
