Doha, Qatar 08 March 2020– Burj Alfardan, located in the upcoming business district of Lusail, was awarded the title of ‘Green Commercial Building’ by the Qatar Green Building Council, a member of Qatar Foundation, at the fourth annual Qatar Sustainability Awards announced on 4 March 2020. The iconic property is the latest offering by Alfardan Properties, Qatar’s leading luxury real estate developers, and marks their first foray into sustainable design.
The Qatar Sustainability Awards is an annual ceremony organized by the Qatar Green Building Council to recognize the sustainability efforts of individuals, institutions and organizations in Qatar. This is the second time Burj Alfardan has won a sustainability certification. The premium tower was previously awarded a three-star rating by the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS), highlighting its cutting-edge design that is both luxurious at heart and sustainable in practice.
